O Quintal (curta-metragem) é o primeiro projeto autoral do MIRÁ – Núcleo de Animação da Escola de Belas Artes (UFBA).
Foi responsável pela direção, storyboard e supervisão de design de personagens.
O Quintal (curta-metragem) é inspirado na obra de Manoel de Barros, mais especificamente na poesia “Tributo a João Guimarães Rosa”. A história retrata o início da amizade de Diadorim, uma menina sonhadora, e Riobaldo, um alegre passarinho azul. Em um terreno abandonado, aparentemente esquecido pela cidade grande, Diadorim e Riobaldo buscam juntos se libertar das limitações impostas pela velocidade das demandas cotidianas.
A animação foi idealizada como projeto de experimentação discente proposto por Carolina Albuquerque, Mariana Netto e Thaíse Tupinambá, orientadas pela professora da EBA/UFBA Tamires Lima. Contemplada com o edital PIBIEXA/PROEXT/UFBA em 2017. A proposta foi re-estruturada durante o trabalho de conclusão do curso de Design de Mariana Netto em 2018, sob a orientação de Tamires Lima e Taygoara Aguiar.
Com um projeto desenvolvido sob a orientação da professora Tamires Lima e a mentoria de Cinthia Maria, da Estandarte Produções, o curta foi contemplado com o Edital Setorial de Audiovisual 2019 – FCBA.
O Quintal foi produzido por integrantes do Mirá, teve apoio da Alinhavo: Empresa Júnior da EBA e contou com a consultoria e participação ativa de profissionais de arte conceitual, música e animação independentes e de produtoras locais.
A produção foi realizada entre 2020 e 2022, portanto grande parte dessa obra foi desenvolvida remotamente, devido às restrições impostas pela pandemia de COVID-19. Somente entre março e setembro de 2022 a equipe de produção passou a trabalhar de modo presencial, nas dependências do LabDesign da Escola de Belas Artes (UFBA).

Quintal (Backyard) (short film) is the first authorial project by MIRÁ – Animation Research Centre at the School of Fine Arts (UFBA).
She was responsible for direction, the storyboard and character design supervision.
The Quintal (short film) is inspired by the work of Manoel de Barros, more specifically in the poem "Tribute to João Guimarães Rosa". The story portrays the beginning of the friendship between Diadorim, a dreamy girl, and Riobaldo, a happy little blue bird. In an abandoned land, apparently forgotten by the big city, Diadorim and Riobaldo together seek to free themselves from the limitations imposed by the speed of everyday demands.
The animation was conceived as a student experimentation project proposed by Carolina Albuquerque, Mariana Netto and Thaíse Tupinambá, guided by EBA/UFBA professor Tamires Lima. Contemplated with the public notice PIBIEXA/PROEXT/UFBA in 2017. The proposal was restructured during the Mariana Netto's undergraduate thesis of the Design course in 2018, under the guidance of Tamires Lima and Taygoara Aguiar.
With a project developed under the guidance of professor Tamires Lima and the mentorship of Cinthia Maria, from Estandarte Produções, the short film was awarded the Audiovisual Sector Notice 2019 – FCBA.
Quintal was produced by members of Mirá, with the support of Alinhavo: Junior Enterprise of the EBA and with the consultancy and active participation of professionals in conceptual art, independent music and animation, and local production companies.
Production was carried out between 2020 and 2022, so much of this work was developed remotely, due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Only between March and September 2022 did the production team start working in person, at the LabDesign premises of the School of Fine Arts (UFBA).
